Are you an ESRC-funded PhD student?
The ESRC wants to hear from you about how your research contributes to people having better lives, and why your research matters.
The ESRC are running their third Writing Competition to reward outstanding written communication and to communicate social science research to the wider general public.
You are invited to write about your research in an article of no more than 800 words, and send it to the ESRC by 16.00 on 7 December 2018. Your article should be based on your PhD research, but should not be a general overview of the topic. The writers of all shortlisted articles will be invited to attend a writing masterclass run by the ESRC partner, SAGE Publishing and an award ceremony in London. Winners will receive a £1000 prize and two runners up will each receive £500.
More details including how to submit your article can be found at https://esrc.ukri.org/skills-and-careers/writing-competition
