The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is currently supporting a Creative Economy Programme. As part of this programme a conference is being held in November, entitled ‘Beyond 2019.’
Beyond is the research and development (R&D) conference for the creative industries. An annual conference addressing the challenges and themes influencing and impacting the future of the creative industries. This year’s conference, being held at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh on the 20-21st November, will explore the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and creativity.
Attended by business leaders, creatives, researchers, policy makers, journalists, funders and anyone with an interest in the future. Part of the conference programme is a poster exhibition for early career researchers working in areas that address one of the conference themes (creative-led data use; data ethics; AI and machine learning). The programme is currently calling for submissions from researchers.
Doctoral Candidates and Early Career Researchers working in the areas of research that address one of the Beyond 2019 conference themes: Artificial Intelligence (AI); Machine Learning; Creative Technology and Data and their application for, and influence on, the creative industries are invited to submit a short abstract for a poster.
The abstract should be between 250-300 words and describe the research project and its relevance to the conference themes; this can be work-in-progress or completed research. Your abstract should also include a short bio note, and you may submit supporting visual material if relevant.
Abstracts and bio notes should be submitted using the ECR Poster Exhibition – Abstract Call Form with all supporting information saved and uploaded in PDF format. All abstracts will be peer reviewed by suitably qualified reviewers, and selected based on novelty, significance and rigour of the research.
All selected participants will be invited to showcase their research projects at Beyond 2019 Poster Exhibition, which is being held on the 20-21st November at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.
Application Deadline: 12.00pm 15th July 2019
