This October the Leeds Social Sciences Institute in collaboration with the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership will be coordinating a MultiMind Live Challenge. This is a unique training opportunity to be involved in a fast paced, stimulating online collaborative project. Researchers work together in teams and apply their skills and know-how to a business or social enterprise challenge. It’s an on-line, time-limited collaborative project to apply your expertise to a real world challenge or opportunity and pitch your solution.
The challenges are set by guests from companies or social enterprises and they focus on genuine, current opportunities or challenges facing the company or sector. These will be business related challenges (not technical challenges) designed to build your commercial knowledge and skills. The challenges will also provide you with the opportunity to network with representatives from the business sector and with fellow researchers from across the White Rose DTP Universities.
This training is part of an ESRC funded project which aims to increase the engagement of social scientists with businesses in order to enhance their commercial awareness, and build their capacity and capability to engage with the private sector, within their current research and future career prospects.
