N8 Fusion Funding 2022

By 10th February 2022 No Comments

The North East and Northern Ireland Doctoral Training Partnersship (NINE DTP), North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP) and the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership (WRDTP), together with  the N8 partnership, are pleased to launch a competitive application process for funding towards student led events directed primarily at DTP and N8 postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers.

It is our intention to fund events in the following broadly defined areas, in which synergies of interest exist between ESRC DTP and N8 researchers:

The scheme is open to all postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers who are currently funded by the ESRC NWSSDTP, the WRDTP, NINEDTP or the N8 partnership. It is a stipulation of any award that invitations must be made to all PGR researchers working in the area of specialism within the N8 partnership and within the ESRC DTP Network, and support for publicity will be available to this end. Applicants are invited to liaise with postgraduate peers, supervisors and academic colleagues in assembling proposals.

Where possible, tangible links should be either established or furthered between postgraduate/postdoctoral researchers in the ESRC DTP Network and the N8 partnership, but events and initiatives are also open to non-academics and colleagues outwith as appropriate. Successful applications will be able to demonstrate the ways in which proposed events and initiatives encourage inter-cohort dialogue between N8 and ESRC funded researchers and present opportunities for future collaboration. Events and initiatives focussing on exploration of and/or advancement of cutting-edge research methods are welcomed.

Full costings should be provided, up to a maximum of £3500.

The deadline for applications to this funding call is Thursday 31 March 2022.
