The Universities of Sheffield, Leeds and York, in partnership with the WRDTP, are delivering a week of professional training, inspirational talks and career workshops to be held across the week commencing 22nd March 2021.
These digital events are designed to help you, our PhD students and Early Career Researchers, navigate your next career move. With only around 30% of Doctoral Graduates remaining in academia and roles increasingly harder to secure, our aim is to support you and showcase alternate career opportunities that align with your research strengths and make the most of your valuable skills.
Events are open to all Social Science PhD students and ECRs across the White Rose University network (Sheffield, Leeds, York, Sheffield Hallam, Bradford, Hull and Manchester Metropolitan).

Information
We have invited several inspirational speakers to talk to us about their professional journey outside of academia. In this series of inspirational talks you will hear what motivated them to pursue a career beyond academia and how their research skills have transferred to their new roles. Sessions will be chaired and there will be time for a Q&A.
