My PhD aims to investigate the effect of parenting practice and experience on conduct problems, such as aggression, non-aggressive conduct disorder, and externalising behaviour among children and youth of refugee background in Zurich, Switzerland. Parenting practices and experience include corporal punishment, parental involvement, maternal depression and acculturation. Possible moderators and mediators will be examined, such as parental education, social context including friends/peers and demographics such as age and gender.
