How can we achieve a just transition for Yorkshire and Humber?

This online seminar has been organised by the Cities, Environment and Liveability (CEL) and the Sustainable Growth, Management and Economic Productivity (SMP) Pathways in partnership with the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission

The seminar is open to all ESRC and non-ESRC funded PhD and MA Social Research students within the WRDTP’s seven partner universities, and is also open to members of the public.

WRDTP is holding a joint event with the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission asking, How can we achieve a just transition for Yorkshire and Humber?

The aim of the event is to showcase doctoral research on the theme of just transition, bringing WRDTP research directly to regional Climate Commissioners and to a public audience. The event will include presentations from doctoral researchers, and responses from a panel of Commissioners. The event provides opportunity to see up-and-coming research, growing our understanding of the research and policy challenges for a just transition.

For speakers it provides a great opportunity to connect with policy-makers in the region, and help shape the developing Yorkshire and Humber Climate Action Plan
