Building Bridges: Accessing So-Called ‘Difficult to Reach’ Groups

This event will support PGRs in thinking through approaches to conducting research with participants from marginalised groups and communities, including addressing barriers to participation as well as more specific aspects such as the use of interpreters.

Through this session, participants will:

  • Increase their awareness of the barriers that exclude people from marginalised communities;
  • Understand strategies for inclusion that researchers can employ when working with marginalised groups;
  • Consider the challenges of putting those strategies into practice.
