Give a brief overview of your current role and responsibilities:
I engage in community outreach with the disabled community in and around Leeds, working towards an equal future with disabled people. I engage organisations and businesses around decreasing the cost of being disabled, the disability employment gap and changing societal attitudes around disability.
Describe your journey from your PhD to your current role:
My PhD was focused on 2 of my communities; trans and disabled people. I wanted to do work that helps support those communities and was lucky to find a job that allowed me to do that and gave me time to recover and write after my PhD.
