Give a brief overview of your current role and responsibilities:
Responsible for evaluation of institutional policy and regulation, including access and teaching and learning activity.
Describe your journey from your PhD to your current role:
I previously worked in access and participation in higher education, with some elements of evaluation. During my PhD I worked as a student and then consultant evaluator for universities, leading to a full time role leading an external evaluation service for small and specialist institutions. This role combines evaluation with opportunities to undertake research on evaluation and student experience.
What advice would you give to current or future WRDTP postgraduate researchers?
Go to events early on so it becomes part of your regular experience and connections.
