The opportunity

3B Impact is looking for a proactive individual to join its team of specialists in social impact strategy and evaluation to work on current client and business development projects which involve designing social research projects, particularly those which require a randomised controlled trial (RCT) to meet grant funding criteria.

This opportunity will allow you to develop your social research and statistical analysis skills by being part of the design of RCTs which will measure the social impact of business interventions such as providing access to power in remote areas of Africa and developing critical thinking skills for public and private employees, with a view to fostering step changes in our approach to climate change and other major social and environmental challenges currently faced by society.

You will also learn how to write reports and grant applications as a management consultant, which involves use of visual elements and presentation in packages such as PowerPoint and Canva.

You will be involved in internal and client-facing meetings to discuss the scope of research and approach that should be taken to best demonstrate the impact of an intervention. You will be expected to make methodological recommendations and perform RCT calculations, and write research protocols and first drafts of proposals, as part of a project team which will involve at least one highly experienced 3B Impact partner, who will supervise the work and take responsibility for any deliverables.
