This training is open to all ESRC and non-ESRC funded PhD and MA Social Research students within the WRDTP’s seven partner universities. PGRs from all seven interdisciplinary Pathways are welcome to attend.
The journey of conducting qualitative research is an exciting one- from finalising the research design to accessing the respondents to data analysis. This session is going to introduce some practical tips of how to access the respondents, conduct qualitative interviews and then process and analyse the data

Lecturer in International Health, University of LeedsMahua has a background in Sociology and Social Policy and experience of working in this sector with NGOs. Trained as a qualitative researcher, she has developed skills in policy research and understanding complex health system issues and interventions in Asia and Africa. She has expertise in embedding participatory community-based mechanisms to monitor and evaluate community engagement interventions focusing on promoting and preventing healthy behaviour within the existing health system and service infrastructure in Low and Middle Income Countries contexts.
