WRDTP Data Management and Open Scholarships 2024/25
All new doctoral researchers in the social sciences from the Universities of Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Manchester Metropolitan, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam and York are warmly invited to attend the next White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership Data Management and Open Scholarships event. This will take place on April 29th 2025, 10am-4pm, at Inox (inside the Students’ Union Building at the University of Sheffield).
The programme for this event can be viewed at the bottom of this page.
This is a compulsory event for ESRC-funded PhD students (i.e. PhD students who are starting their 1st year of study in the 2024/25 academic year).
However, this will be a repeat of the event on November 26th 2024, and is intended for students who did not attend on that date. To help us meet demand for places, we ask that you do not attend this event if you attended it in November 2024 (or if you attended the equivalent event whilst completing your MA Social Science Research degree during the 2023/24 academic year.)
As well as ESRC-funded PhD students, this event is open to:
- New, non-ESRC-funded social sciences PhD students at the seven White Rose DTP partner institutions;
- Students studying for their Masters in Social Science Research in the 2024/2025 academic year (however, we advise waiting until your first year of PhD study to attend this event).
You will need to specify which Interdisciplinary Pathway your research is most closely aligned with when booking a place at this event. Please see the Pathway summaries for more information.
This event will take place in person only at Sheffield Students’ Union.
Bookings will close at 12 noon on Friday April 11th.
Please book a place only if you are sure that you will be able to attend.
When booking, you must use your institutional (.ac.uk) email address and complete all fields of the booking form. Your booking will otherwise be cancelled, and you will need to re-book. Thank you for your understanding.
