Project Description
Grow is a youth development charity working with vulnerable and marginalised young people in Sheffield. Many of those they work with face mental health difficulties that have resulted in social isolation and a lack of engagement in work or training prospects. At Grow, they combine coaching with nature based projects to help their trainees combat social isolation, boost their wellbeing and develop employability skills.
They are looking for an Impact Researcher to help them to effectively measure the impact their programmes have on both the trainees taking part and the wider community and society. As a charity who works directly with 16-24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) they need to be able to assess the benefits and impact of young people joining the programmes in order to develop what they offer longer term and also demonstrate the impact they have effectively to potential funders.
They also want to look at Grow’s referral process and see how they can report impact back to referrers to help inform their impact reporting.
Expected duties will include:
- Evaluate how they currently record impact
- Liaise with the programme team and fundraising team to understand what information they need to be gathering to demonstrate impact
- Develop a protocol to collect evidence and information
- Create a reporting mechanism for impact
- Create templates to record impact
- Create questionnaires for trainees to use in line with current reporting framework
- Speak to referrers to evaluate what they need in terms of impact reporting
