Project Description
Make it Grow is a Knowledge Exchange project, affiliated to the Institute for Sustainable Food (ISF) and the Institute for Global Sustainable Development (IGSD) at the University of Sheffield. It supports marginalised community groups to develop, express and fundraise for their food-related project ideas through the creation of Participatory Video Proposals. Since 2021, the project has empowered 25+ communities in Zimbabwe to share their stories, co-design and pitch food projects. Communities co-created video proposals to apply for small grants, to implement a range of context-relevant initiatives.
The team are looking for a Video Production Assistant to support with:
- Video (both edited productions and raw video clips) logging/organisation, transcription, and editing
- Video testimonials and community video reports (created by the partner organisations) to be synthesised into a video documentary (or series of shorts) about the project
- Creation of an organised database of “impact evidence”
- Contribution to a public engagement output (to give back to the community groups), e.g. a booklet with QR code links to the audio-visual content
- If interested, participation as co-author in a paper for publication
Please note this opportunity has been advertised across multiple Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs).
