Applicants to the White Rose DTP scholarship or post-doctoral fellowship competitions are permitted to utilise AI in the preparation of their research proposals and application forms. Where applicants do make use of AI then:
- AI use must be declared and clearly explained in scholarship and post-doctoral fellowship application forms.
- Applicants are accountable for the accuracy, integrity and originality of their scholarship and post-doctoral application forms, including for any use of AI.
- Any use of AI must not breach plagiarism policy of the proposed host institution. Scholarly work must be the applicant’s own, and not present others’ ideas, data, words or other material without adequate citation and transparent referencing.
Please note, individual partner institutions of the WRDTP may have more specific requirements or guidelines for upholding this policy.
