By 24th June 2026 No Comments

On Wednesday 17th June the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership welcomed doctoral researchers, academics, alumni and colleagues from across our partner institutions to the 15th Annual WRDTP Conference, New Forms of Power and Resistance.

Hosted at the University of Sheffield, the conference brought together around 180 attendees for a day of research, discussion and connection. It was a fantastic opportunity for members of the WRDTP community to share ideas, explore new perspectives, and celebrate the wide-ranging research taking place across the partnership.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day such a success.

A special congratulations goes to the doctoral researchers who shared their work as part of the conference programme. Across the afternoon sessions, approximately 70 presentations showcased research spanning a broad range of disciplines, topics and methodologies. The poster exhibition featured around 20 posters, offering further opportunities to learn about and discuss the exciting work being undertaken by researchers across the WRDTP.

We would also like to thank our keynote speakers, Indrajit Roy and Suay Melisa Ă–zkula, for their engaging and thought-provoking contributions. Their talks provided valuable insights into this year’s theme and sparked discussion throughout the day.

Since the conference, it has been wonderful to see so many attendees sharing their experiences on LinkedIn. We have enjoyed reading your reflections, seeing photos from the event, and hearing about the conversations, connections and ideas that stayed with you after the day had ended.

The Annual Conference remains one of the highlights of the WRDTP calendar. It provides an opportunity to come together as a community, learn from one another, and celebrate the achievements of our doctoral researchers.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us. We look forward to seeing many of you at future WRDTP events.
